I never set out to become an email marketer or a web developer. I just kept following problems that felt worth solving.
When I was 14, I became frustrated with how outdated my school's website was. Instead of simply accepting it, I decided to learn how websites were built. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a passion for programming, design and building digital products.
Looking back, the common thread has never been the technology itself. It's understanding how things work and finding better ways to solve problems. Today, I approach every project the same way. I don't start by asking what technology to use. I start by understanding what's actually holding the business back. Sometimes the answer is a better website. Sometimes it's email marketing. Sometimes it's automation. The tools change, but the goal stays the same.
I enjoy working where technology, design and business meet, because that's where the most interesting problems usually are.
How I think
Business first
Before opening Figma or writing a line of code, I want to understand the product, the customer and the commercial problem. Everything else is downstream.
Highest leverage
One constraint is usually responsible for most of the problem. Finding it and fixing it is more valuable than improving everything slightly.
Execution that reflects thinking
A well-reasoned strategy executed poorly is still a failure. The quality of the output is what the customer sees.
Simple by default
Complexity adds maintenance cost and failure points. I add it only when it genuinely creates value.
